Needing to keep pace with competitors, their design services needed to be self-serve to expand their market. This required building from scratch a configurator capable of their customizations.
Printers, markers and more. Badge accessories and products to enable self-serve customers needed an eccommerce experience.
The badge variety is endless, but time isn’t. Creating a systematic approach to document and edit all photos alongside a website build-out.
Translated a large corporate sales and production process to a small-scale self-service experience. This entailed a deep understanding of their process and capabilities and translating it into a design and configurator. A company that prides themselves on customer service and quality, the name badge configurator was an iterative approach.
To accompany the self-serve audience, the tooling to create a quality badge was needed. To ensure that custom name badges and DIY badges were differentiated, a dedicated e-commerce experience was created to house all products.
Categorizing and organizing product to ensure customer journey didn’t just stop at creating a badge. Showing the capabilities and process of the tooling enabled this product listing to work better than one found on other online stores.
I worked with alongside a talented photographer to capture the badges. To do this at scale, we created a document of all necessary badges and their customizations. From there, we laid them out on a flat table-top so that photo editing in post could outline and separate individual badges. This enabled a longer photo budget for product shots while systemizing the badge edits in post.
