America’s Favorite Brewery Tour needed a site to match

  • Brief Overview
From beer savants to casual drinkers

The previous website was unable to maintain the list of ongoing beers Lakefront created, all data and entry needed to be in 3rd party tooling. We created a space to highlight the beer to create ease of purchasing and data for the savants.

  • Brief Overview
    Capturing the tour

Planning a trip to Milwaukee isn’t complete without a tour to a Brewery. Creating an online presence for their famous tour and restaurant would enable more SEO and less calls asking for help and booking.

  • Brief Overview
    Merchandising, merchandising, merchandising

While you get a souvenir glass at the end of the tour, you don’t have access to all of the branded merchandise, an eccommerce site was needed.

An ode to the beer

While some things have changed since initial redesign in 2016, the majority of it has remained the same. The strategy was to position these pages as the average Eccommerce layout to enable purchasing, related material and branding of a specific beer. Each beer page incorporates the thoughtful design, the beer notes and most importantly a strategic linking strategy to more beers or merchandise.

There was more than just a tour that needed highlights

Tour ticketing process

Highlighting the most iconic things to look forward to on the tour while balancing the most asked questions that were called in. The tour page covers the frequently asked questions, the need for private events and the local places to help a visitor plan a full day in Milwaukee.

Events, private and public

A big dining hall that serves food and its community. A calendar list of events so your tour experience can be aided with good time full of laughter, music and occasional drag BINGO

The infamous Friday fish fry

The beer hall’s most famous for its cheese curd (they have their own curd wagon) but what really rounds out a week is a Wisconsin Fish Fry. Seating would be limited and the need to highlight availability was necessary for a growing experience.

Selling outside of the tour experience

With a growing online presence and acknowledgement of the tour from around the world. The Lakefront team was looking to expand the store. The inventory was not being showcased outside of curious tour-attendees asking for more. To remedy this, a Shopify site was created. Working alongside a product photographer, I edited, established marketing banners and helped enable products to be featured on the website.

Pints, pictures and more product

The variety of glassware, clothing and other products that Lakefront wanted to feature created the need for careful categorization and proper cross-linking. The integration of shopify on their website allowed for products to be featured alongside beer information when relevant. This created a full ecosystem of cross linking from store to beer and back.

I worked with Tracy early in her career. She was a great co-worker, really easy to work with. She picked things up quickly, and it was easy to trust her with responsibility. She took feedback well and used it to get better.
